Feminism
Feminism is a collection of a number of different ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, social and economic rights for women. It does not only fight for equal rights but also equal opportunities in education and work. If you put it simply a feminist is a supporter for equal rights for women. Feminism has always been a known issue, in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries the main campaign was the movement of the British Suffragettes and suffragists. This was known as one of the largest success stories of the era for the feminist movement. Feminism is still fought for today but it is not as large an issue due to women being granted the right to vote and to take part in parliamentary elections. Even though it is no longer a big problem it is still supported by many women all over the world. Although Feminism has died down as the big economic and political problems have been resolved for example the right to vote there are still some smaller campaigns taking place to fight against people that still believe certain jobs/tasks should be completed by men.
Marxism
Marxism which is also known as Scientific Socialism is the name given to the body of theories collated by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. These provide a completed theoretical base for the struggle against the working class to attain higher form in society.
Marxism provides the firm foundation for the movement of the Labour Party to this day. Since the time of Marx and Engels no more scientific or truthful theories have more greatly explained the movement of society and the role of the working class within that movement. Karl Marx was famous for his work which was often difficult to understand due to him being much further past the scientific mind of his time. Marx was a very outspoken child who commonly went against the wishes of his parents and the accepted studies of that era, this is due to his study of philosophy, when law was the expected route of education.
